Project Summary
The Lemon Grove Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Academy joint-use library features a bookstore, children’s area, teen study and access to public computers. The structure arcades along intersecting streets which expresses the public nature of the facility and encourages community use. The highlight of the library is a sprawling great room constructed with exposed wood trusses. The architecture not only reflects elements of Mission style design, but specifically addresses aspects of the Mission style that were prevalent in Lemon Grove’s early stages of development.
